Why Big Sky Bible Camp?

Big Sky Bible Camp is a non-denominational Bible camp and conference center set on nearly 200 acres of beautiful lakefront property framed by the majestic Swan Mountains. Nestled in northwest Montana—just a short drive from Glacier National Park—our setting immerses campers in the beauty and wonder of God’s creation from the moment they arrive.

Our desire is not only that campers make lifelong memories, but that they respond to the gospel, grow in Christian community, and walk more closely with the Lord as a result of their experiences at camp.

What We Believe

Christ at the Center

At Big Sky Bible Camp, Christ is not an add-on to the fun—He is the center of everything we do. We exist to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ and make disciples. For us, camp is a special setting where young people can hear the gospel, treasure Christ, and follow Him for life.

Grounded in God's Word

We are anchored in the authority and sufficiency of Scripture. The Word of God shapes our teaching, our programs, and our leadership. We joyfully proclaim the grace of God in salvation and seek to help campers and staff understand the beauty of the gospel and the sovereignty of God in saving sinners.

Adventure Serves Discipleship

We love laughter, the lake, mountain trails, and unforgettable adventures. But fun is never the finish line. Activities exist to build relationships, prepare hearts for God’s Word, and strengthen encouraging friendships. At Big Sky, fun creates the environment—Christ changes lives.

Raising the Next Generation

Through programs like Leaders-in-Training (LIT), we are committed to cultivating gospel-shaped leadership. Our goal is not simply camp involvement—but faithful leadership in the church, the home, and the world. We long to see young men and women grow into courageous, humble servants of Christ.

Investing in Our Staff

We believe discipleship begins with those who lead. Our summer staff are intentionally mentored, taught, and shepherded throughout the summer. We desire that our counselors leave not only encouraged, but spiritually strengthened and equipped for a lifetime of faithfulness to Christ.

We seek to provide an exceptional camp experience through the efforts of committed and qualified staff. Staff are carefully screened and background checked, and summer staff complete a full week of training that covers camp policies, procedures, and child protection standards.

Summer staff are also supported through accountability and ongoing leadership care throughout the summer.
